Social Media Specialist

An opportunity exists for a full time Social Media Specialist based in our Marketing team in Sydney.  As the in-house publisher and creator of video, digital and print content you will be responsible for generating brand buzz and aligning internal and external messaging across all channels.  You will continuously seek out new and innovative ways to make Ray White a leading brand in the social space and support our network across Australia and NZ with all things social.  

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary or similar qualifications in communications, public relations or journalism preferred
  • Three+ years background in social media & / or  journalism
  • Experience with social communities
  • Experience generating branded content
  • Curiosity and creatively brave: being resourceful and proactive 
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand social media management
    • Create and manage annual content plans based on strategy developed with your manager across our key social channels: facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram & Youtube for core business units
    • Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders and vendors to bring the plans to life
  • Internal Content Creation
    • Creation of monthly, quarterly and annual internal content pieces e.g. Whitepaper, White Report, QLD CEO Quarterly Update, NSW monthly Podcast series etc
  • Campaign / product support
    • Work with wider team to provide content and social integration for all campaigns  & new product launches including development and execution of relevant content & plan (approx 5-6 launches per year)
  • Social listening & complaints management
    • Monitoring of social listening tools (Hootsuite) to:
      • Understand brand sentiment
      • Monitor competitor activity
      • Monitor complaints and PR risk, escalate to appropriate internal channels (customer care coordinator, PR manager or Crisis PR manager)
  • Network social media management
    • Management of social media distribution platform (Manalto)
    • Management of the social media page on Whiteboard (intranet).
    • The face behind - you’re on hand to answer questions from the network (or point them to the relevant resource on Whiteboard)
    • New office / agent social media set-up & assistance
    • Conduct training on social media products / tools & programmes at network events
  • Other
    • Maintain,  develop and enforce the social policy and guidelines
    • Be accountable for the visual identity of the social pages (working with Customer Experience Manager)
