Xero Bookkeeper (Specialist)

A new opportunity exists within our Ray White Profit team for a Xero Bookkeeper (known internally as Xero Specialist). Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Leader, Xero Specialists, this role will provide specialist Xero bookkeeping services to Ray White and Loan Market franchisees as well as developing and maintaining the network support resources in relation to those processes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong experience in using all the functions of Xero along with a moderate understanding of MYOB
  • Xero certification
  • Relationship building skills with the ability to liaise with internal team members and business owners
  • Strong core bookkeeping skills with the ability to explain outcomes to non-financial people
  • An ability to adapt to an evolving role with enthusiasm
  • Real estate agency back office experience including monthly accounts preparation, payroll, advertising and trust accounting would be highly regarded

The key responsibilities of this role include:​

  • Create/convert the Xero file including chart of accounts, tracking, payroll and bank feeds
  • Implementation of the Financial module in Mydesktop covering agent commission calculations, Advertising Manager, Sales Trust, Deductions and integration to Xero
  • Integration to Halo
  • Completion of monthly bookkeeping processes including debtors, creditors, payroll, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly management packs and BAS/IAS reporting
  • Linking with Profit BDE’s to liaise with franchisees about broader financial advice
  • Continue to build and develop the Ray White standard operating procedures covering Xero, Mydesktop (Financial module only) and Receipt Bank in conjunction with the rest of the Profit Team
  • Involvement in the development of the Financial One System including Xero, Receipt Bank and Halo

This role would suit a Xero specialist with either a few years experience or studying a related discipline; who wishes to expand their bookkeeping experience.
