Finance Manager

An opportunity exists within our Finance team for a Finance Manager to support the Loan Market Group (LMG) businesses across Australia and New Zealand.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will be responsible for managing and controlling all finance-related activities of various businesses within the Loan Market Group and leading a team of finance professionals to effectively analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Guide, coach and develop the finance team driving a high performance culture and excellent service delivery
  • Lead change and shape the attitudes and perceptions of the broader team in conjunction with other leaders in LMG Finance
  • Driving system improvement projects
  • Responsibility for meeting financial reporting and taxation obligations
  • Delivery and analysis of regular and ad-hoc financial reporting to a broad range of customers Cash flow management across a range of businesses within the Loan Market Group
  • Responsibility for management of budgeting and forecasting requirements of the Loan Market Group including planning, stakeholder engagement, approval and delivery
  • Preparation for and attendance at regular meetings with Executives in relation to financial matters as well as strategic direction
  • Management of external relationships including banking, insurance and professional services firms
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required learning through collaboration and peer to peer learning that supports the sharing of ideas and best practice across LMG and the broader business

To be successful in this role you will bring a minimum of 5 years experience in a senior leadership role in a commercial finance team.  You will have a CA/CPA qualification and relevant tertiary qualifications.  Your ability to engage well at all levels of the organisation through exceptional written and verbal communication is essential as is your attention to detail.  You will have lead a team previously and enjoy coaching and mentoring others to be successful in delivering high quality outcomes.  This role will allow you to be autonomous so you will need to be comfortable using your initiative and demonstrate a high level of integrity.  The culture is supportive yet challenging and fast paced, you need to enjoy being part of a team and thrive in an ever changing environment.  Advanced Excel skills are a must.  Experience with Australian and NZ tax obligations and experience using Technology One are highly desirable.
