Communications Manager

Purpose:

Drive the reputation and provide value to prospective and existing franchisees and employees of the Loan Market Group and its brands across Australia, NZ and emerging markets.

Delivering high quality communication strategies, creative tactics, strong internal messaging and exceptional media relationships to increase brand awareness, exposure and grow the Loan Market Group customer base.

Qualifications

  • Communications degree or equivalent

Experience

  • 5+ years at a senior level

Brand PR

  • Build the Loan Market Group reputation and profile for consumer and industry circles
  • B2C communication strategies to drive customer acquisition
  • B2B communication strategies to grow broker, employee and independent networks
  • Build exceptional relationships with industry and consumer media so Loan Market Group is the go-to-brand for commentary
  • Proactive media relations and events
  • Blogger and influencer relations to secure coverage
  • Maintain the one-source-of-truth corporate profile and awards register list

Internal communications

  • Create communication plans and tactics to launch business initiatives
  • Implement communication plans to drive registration of corporate events and conferences
  • Ensure corporate and network are aware off all media coverage
  • Work with Ray White marketing team on Group communication initiatives

Awards

  • Identify and evaluate industry awards for Loan Market Group
  • Compile and submit award submissions
  • Manage freelancers to compile broker award submissions

Broker PR

  • New broker announcement campaigns
  • Elite Broker announcement and campaigns

Crisis communications

  • Crisis Management (in liaison with senior management)
  • Liaison with external Crisis Communications Consultant as required
  • Ensure all executive and relevant stakeholders are alerted to, consulted and updated on all issues
  • Prepare media releases when required

BAU

  • Producing articles, writing press releases and creating content to generate media coverage
  • Networking with and talking to all forms of the media on a daily basis
  • Manage ongoing PR databases and ensure all contacts remain up to date and on-going communication with all key partners 
  • Contribute to monthly marketing report and other reports as required
  • Media monitoring including social listening
  • Measurement & reporting on PR coverage
  • Industry issue briefing 
  • Executive team & spokespeople media training
  • Media training for corporate and broker network
  • Broker self-service training material of key topics
  • Presenting on topics at conferences and events is required
