About the Role:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for supporting the Group Executive with implementation of the LMG Asset Finance strategy. This includes the delivery of dedicated asset finance expertise directly to brokers, drive platform and technology solutions specific for asset finance, increased lender support and enable the development and growth opportunities for all broker businesses across all brands in the group. The role will also assist with recruiting brokers with expertise or a willingness to diversify their business to the group.

 

Activity:

Implementation of our LMG Asset finance strategy, key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for broker enablement in diversifying their businesses
  • Delivery of the education pathway and professional development programs for our people and brokers
  • Recruitment of Asset Finance focused business across LMG
  • Working closely with Partnership Managers across the group to identify brokers who will benefit from coaching and development for Asset Finance.
  • Engage brokers to identify the best solution for them to grow capabilities around Asset Finance.
  • Arrange and facilitate training in small and large group sessions
  • Promotion and creating awareness within the network of Group endorsed Referral programs and providing support to these programs
  • Training and support for our technology solutions across Asset Finance.
  • Industry Body engagement and promotion such as Commercial & Asset Finance Brokers Association (CAFBA)
  • Lender Panel - work closely with our lender partners and maintain an awareness of the solutions offered by our lenders to support brokers with scenarios and queries.
  • Deliver support and communication to broker business owners that focus specifically on asset finance.

Leadership and Management:

  • An ability to build trusted relationships with sound regulatory and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to engage brokers of varying levels of experience and expertise in Asset Finance.
  • Can communicate at both the strategic and operational level internally and externally, making effective decisions which balances the varying stakeholder demands
  • Can engage with Partnership Managers to help jointly provide solutions to their brokers.

Experience:

  • Significant experience in financial services with a depth and breadth of experience across relationship models and third-party distribution
  • Leadership and Coaching with Business Acumen
  • Presentation and facilitation
  • Experience to demonstrate ability to work across the value chain.
  • Experience in successfully delivering business and cultural change, balancing the needs of the team and broker businesses

 

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • A National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the company will be required by LMG before the successful applicant can commence in this position, and is to be maintained by the employee.
  • Strong knowledge of Asset Finance
  • Proven ability to work with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Well honed relationship management skills including experience with diversified businesses
  • Resilience and ability to deal with uncertainty.
  • Enjoys engaging with others and collaborating
