General Manager - Product & Technology (LM)

As a key member of our Loan Market Senior Leadership Group, you will be the driving force behind the transformation of the Loan Market business. Reporting directly to the Loan Market Chief Commercial and Transformation Officer, you won't just be managing product and technology, you’ll be designing and implementing the new benchmark in product development and management, architecting the future of our consumer and marketing technology ecosystem.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Ownership: Take full ownership of the product strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end delivery for Loan Market’s consumer and marketing technology ecosystem. You will define the vision, ensuring our platforms are market-leading assets that drive genuine value.
- Platform Scaling & Innovation: Spearhead the growth of our consumer, broker, and referrer applications. You will build robust, scalable solutions that serve as the backbone for the entire LMG group, with a vision to productize these innovations for broader market application (e.g. White Label and other aggregator groups).
- Adjacent Revenue Growth: Act as the technical architect for new, high-growth revenue streams. You will lead the build-out of platforms or products that unlock value in adjacent sectors, such as the insurance market, expanding the LMG footprint.
- Team Leadership & Culture: Cultivate a high-performing, engineering-led culture. You will mentor and develop our talent across design, development, and infrastructure, fostering an environment of continuous learning, agility, and high technical standards.
- Executive Partnership: Partner closely with the Chief Innovation Officer to scale proven innovations from pilot to enterprise-wide standard. Your ability to bridge the gap between “proven concept” and “scaled reality” will be critical to our success.
- Operational Excellence: Continuously refine our product development methodologies. You will drive a culture of agility, security, and stability, ensuring our ways of working are as innovative as the products we ship.
- Strategic Collaboration: Act as the primary bridge into the broader LMG technology, data, and product functions. You will ensure cross-group synergy, leveraging group-wide assets to accelerate delivery while eliminating duplication of effort.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage the department’s commercial health, maintaining full accountability for headcount planning and infrastructure/cloud expenditure.
Skill and experience required:
- Strategic Leadership: Proven experience in defining and executing product strategy, roadmaps, and delivery for consumer-facing digital platforms, ideally in fintech or aggregator sectors.
- Technical Product Management: Strong background in building and scaling web and mobile applications (consumer/broker apps), with a focus on usability, security, and scalability.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop cross-functional teams of design, development, and infrastructure engineers to build high-performing cultures.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working effectively with executive leadership (e.g. Chief Innovation Officer) to scale successful product pilots and integrate within a broader group technology ecosystem.
- Operational Excellence: Expertise in implementing modern product development methodologies (e.g., Agile/DevOps) to drive productivity and product stability.
- Financial Acumen: Experience managing departmental budgets, including headcount planning and infrastructure/cloud expenditure.
- Collaboration: A track record of acting as a conduit between product teams and broader data/technology organizations to leverage shared best practices and avoid duplication of effort.
