About the role:
We are seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join our supportive and collaborative team. In this role you will be supporting the execution of the Loan Market growth strategy by helping to achieve local state-based recruitment targets.
Your main duty will be to focus on the hiring of Brokers (Loan Writers) and Admin Staff (CSM’s) into our broker network as part of our own internal recruitment agency offering. This is a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic team player with experience in a fast-paced recruitment environment, or someone from a broking background with a strong understanding of these roles and an interest in recruitment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Your main responsibility will be to recruit Loan Writers and Admin Staff into our broker network on behalf of our franchise/ business owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with Loan Market business owners to support the growth of their teams, identifying hiring needs for Brokers and Admin Staff and advising on effective recruitment strategies aligned to market conditions.
- Manage and nurture lead flow by working closely with your state-based distribution team and business owners, ensuring recruitment activity is proactive, targeted, and aligned to business growth goals.
- Deliver end-to-end recruitment support, including candidate sourcing, screening and vetting, interview coordination, and managing offer and onboarding processes.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines by proactively sourcing candidates in the market, leveraging platforms such as SEEK and LinkedIn Recruiter to attract high-quality talent.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records, ensuring consistent database management and the development of warm, engaged talent pools for current and future opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Growth Managers across New South Wales to align candidate placement strategies and successfully match Brokers to the right businesses.
- Support and participate in recruitment initiatives and events, including hosting sessions for brokers on hiring best practice, engaging candidates, and representing Loan Market at industry events to build brand presence and talent pipelines.
Skill and experience required:
- Min 2 years experience in recruitment (internal or agency) or min 2 years experience in a bank or brokerage with a solid understanding of these roles in practice and some recruitment experience
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong computer skills and with the ability to learn quickly (Google suite, AI tools ideal)
- Familiar with Seek, Seek Talent Search, LinkedIn Recruiter & Other Recruitment technology solutions
- Experience within lending or broking would be highly regarded
