Head of Product Management
The Role
As a cornerstone of the LMG Tech leadership team, you will influence and shape our group strategy, translating it into a clear, outcome-driven roadmap for MyCRM4. You will foster a learning culture where your team is empowered to master their craft, discover innovative solutions, and deliver measurable impact.
You will be the subject matter expert on the competitive landscape, using deep market insights to iterate on our strategy and ensure LMG remains at the forefront of the SaaS financial services space. Working alongside the Head of Design, Heads of Engineering, and the GM of Customer Products, you will ensure our product lead mindset permeates every level of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Visionary Leadership & Coaching: Act as the primary coach for a team of talented product managers, fostering an environment of autonomy, transparency, and high engagement.
- Strategy & Roadmap Ownership: Own the delivery of the MyCRM product strategy and roadmap, ensuring it is well-socialised internally and articulated publicly to our customers.
- Market Intelligence: Lead research and competitor analysis within the mortgage broker tech and SaaS financial services space to identify threats and opportunities.
- Product Optimisation: Conduct rigorous metric analysis (NPS, margin, churn) to drive data-based decisions and growth.
- Practice Excellence: Standardise product operations, including embedding OKRs, DVF principles (Desirability, Viability, Feasibility), and product life-cycle stages.
- Stakeholder & Customer Engagement: Maintain a deep network of customers and stakeholders to validate ideas, uncover pain points, and drive product adoption at industry events and town halls.
- Innovation: Pioneer the integration of AI solutions and new fintech commercialisation opportunities within MyCRM.
What Success Looks Like (FY25/26 KPIs)
- Advocacy: Achieve and maintain a stable MyCRM NPS of +50 by the end of FY26
- Engagement: Reach a stable Product Engagement Score (PES) of 70+ (covering adoption, utilisation, and retention)
- Commercial Growth: Drive an annualised revenue increase of $1m through the launch of new differentiated features (e.g., Lucy, LendingIQ, Spotter)
- Efficiency: Reduce platform costs by $500k and improve product development productivity by 100% by the end of FY26
- Product Delivery: Deliver a feature-complete "Contact experience" and implement two new Insurance Partnerships to support our diversified income promise
- Leadership: Maintain a Management Score 5% above the benchmark (targeting 95%) and ensure high team engagement through clear career development frameworks
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience with a proven track record in SaaS strategy and roadmapping.
- 5+ years as an inspiring leader of people, capable of balancing empowerment with critical decision-making.
- Expertise in DVF principles (Desirability, Viability, Feasibility) and financial modeling.
- Deep experience in the financial services industry, preferably mortgage brokering
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present at industry forums
- Proficiency in product analytics tools (e.g., Pendo, FullStory, Amplitude) and project management software (JIRA, ClickUp)
Desirable:
- Exposure to user design processes and systems like Figma or Sketch
- Familiarity with AI implementation practices, including prompt engineering and prototyping
