About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant with a strong technical background to join our finance department for a Fixed-Term contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role offers ownership of key financial processes and technical challenges. The successful candidate will be a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with strong analytical and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of month end close including journals, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany accounts
• Process and review of commissions, billing and trade creditor payments
• Provide technical guidance in accordance with accounting standards
• Support in year end audit processes including year end adjustments and financial statement note preparation
• Contribute to process improvements within the finance team to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial accounting

Skill and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CA qualified
• 3+ years in an accounting role
• Proficient in general ledger and financial reporting systems, preferably with experience using Netsuite
• High attention to detail and the ability to follow through with request for information
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to improve process efficiency
