Local Area Marketing Specialist

About the role -

Your mission is to empower our 1000+ broker businesses to implement marketing programs in their local marketplaces, generate more leads and build their pipeline.

You will spearhead our broker-facing enablement strategy, designing and deploying AI-driven playbooks, tools and programs so that local broker businesses are empowered to implement their own local area marketing plans.

This role is only available to candidates based Sydney or Brisbane.

Duties and Responsibilities -

• Architect the strategic LAM framework for 500+ businesses, prioritising AI-enabled playbooks that drive acquisition and retention at scale.
• Design and implement AI-assisted workflows that automate routine marketing requests, ensuring the network operates with maximum speed and minimum friction.
• Develop self-service marketing toolkits to provide brokers with high-quality, brand-compliant content on demand.
• Lead the adoption of marketing initiatives through interactive workshops, small group sessions, and online webinars.
• Drive brand activation, collaborative in-community marketing efforts and brand compliance for Loan Market, postcode by postcode, ensuring a Loan Market brand presence in every suburb we operate.
• Present at state events (Elevate, broker retreats, PD Days etc) to educate brokers on how to find and keep clients.
• Collaborate with Ray White to implement a digital lead toolkit and help brokers find ways to farm more referral leads out of their local Ray White offices.

KPIs -

• Platform adoption & enablement: Percentage of the network actively utilising the local area marketing toolkit and AI tools.
• Leads: growth in the number of broker business self-generated leads.
• Localised Net Promoter Score (NPS): Network/broker customer satisfaction score

Skill and experience required -

• Local area marketing experience: 5+ years of experience executing strategic, data-backed marketing plans that drive local growth, ideally within the finance or broking industry.
• Business acumen: A proven ability to connect marketing models to budget requirements and leverage channel insights to drive sustainable growth.
• AI-first mindset: You don’t just use AI; you build, prompt, and train workflows that make marketing execution simple, rapid, and effective for non-technical users.
• Change management: Strong capability in transforming marketing operations, with a focus on empowering teams to excel.
• Relational influence: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across all levels - from local brokers to senior stakeholders.
• Coaching & education: Passionate about helping small business owners; you are comfortable presenting at large events and engaging directly with brokers to drive adoption of new initiatives.
• Qualifications: Marketing degree or equivalent
